ABOUT THE PRIZE

We purchased a brand new Walking Dead Pro pinball machine at the end of December 2014. This machine is the prize to win at the end of 2015 without the coin acceptor and the note validator and at the condition as is at that time. The winner is responsible for removing the pinball from the premises at prearranged date/time at his or her cost. While the machine is in Pinball HQ it will be kept operating and any income derived from it belongs to Pinball HQ.

The Grand Final Format

We chose a format which respects your well-earned club ranking made by the points you accumulated from FEB 4 to DEC 2.  It advantages the player with higher ranking but also gives a fair chance to a player at the bottom of the table to climb up and win the pinball.

13 rounds will be played, three games played in each round, all games are 4 players with 4, 2, 1, 0 points awarded at each game (1st = 4 points, 2nd = 2 points, 3rd = 1 point, 4th = 0 points). The first round is played by the players ranked 16, 15, 14, 13. Three games are played but only one player (with the least points gained) drops out from the tournament at the end of each round. The other three proceed to the next round where the next player from the top 16 table joins in (that would be player ranked 12 in round two). This process repeats until the final round where the winner wins The Walking Dead Pinball. The player with higher ranking chooses his/her order of play, which stays the same for all three games.

All games are played on the Walking Dead pinball (3 balls, competition setting). In case of a major malfunction we'll choose randomly another machine. Any ties will be resolved by factoring in the aggregate score of the three games. We estimate that each round may take an hour, meaning 13 hours to play 13 rounds. This cannot be done in one instalment therefore we’ll play the final over 3 Wednesdays: WED Dec 9, WED Dec 16, WED Dec 23. You will need to be present to play your turn otherwise you can miss out altogether on your chance to win the pinball. We won’t have time to wait for you. Nor you could join in later. We’ll try to play minimum of 5 rounds on the first Wednesday, if we can play 6 or 7 rounds, even better. The table below gives you a rough indication when your turn is likely to be. The real timing can be very different. Sometimes games go fast and your turn can be sooner than you anticipated, or your turn can be on different day than indicated in table below. You need to keep an eye on the dynamics of the event and be ready to play.
